Summer Oil Change

Post by Eric »

After changing my knock sensors and cleaning the intake I thought it best to give it an early oil change.
This post is simply for a little light fun.

Big boy oil filter. Compared next to a Lexus LS400 filter.

The special service tool (SST) for the toyota century filter. I bought this years before I owned my century. I considered it to be a pre-requisite before I could take custodian of ~any~ century.

Here is the location of the oil filter and angle compared against the lower oil pan. (Fumoto drain plug instead of regular plug.)

Fill with 8 qts 5W-30. Living in North America, Kirkland Brand (Costco) oil is so nice and reasonably priced!

Thanks for posting - I had no idea there was a specific Century oil filter removal tool! We got mine off with a removal tool from a diesel truck...
