Posting here to start a thread regarding information on how to properly setup an Air Suspension controller on the second gen Century.
Here is what I found so far:
- There are two generations of R-Spec DataSystems air suspension controllers the ASE662/663 and the ASC680
- The important part is the harness. Many toyota and lexus models have different plug configurations
- The most commonly available harness is the UCF31 H077D harness, it doesn't work with the Century, one plug is too large to fit...
- The H076D harness seems to fit so far, it has the right plugs, but as you'll see from my questions below, not certain yet if it's the proper one
- The ASE662, which I have, has multiple car configurations available to send the proper information to the air suspension system (6C is what corresponds to the Crown Majesta UZS171 UZS173 which the H076D harness is for)
- The system can be installed by simply removing the driver side baseplate, a bit of the trim on the right side of the footwell, two metal clips, and removing the three plugs that connect into the main computer while daisychaining the harness in between. (takes about 15min including the struggle to remove the plugs in a tight space.)
- What is the proper car model that I should assign to the controller? The manual doesn't specify the Century
- How patient do I need to be? How much time do the bags take to empty? and fill back up?
- How do you activate a height mode on the air suspension controller? Maybe I have everything setup right, but I just don't know how to send the official goahead to my car so that it applies the desired height config I set.
- Does the 680 work on a 97 century when you have the H086D harness? I saw a comment saying the two generation controllers work on all cars, it just depends on the harness, but I've also seen a comment saying the ASE66X are for 97-04 and 05+ need the ASC680.
- Got the harness on RHDJapan.com
- Got the controller on EBay
- Found the manual on how to use it here : https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-1st ... se663.html
