Keyless alarm remote start

Hello,
for 1999 model
Has anyone tackled this? I've searched Google, FB, and forums... anyone with ignition or column wiring or wiring diagram will help. I saw the wiring diagram on Trinom, but I don't understand that stuff and I didn't see color codes. Looking for easy to follow this color wire is this, this color wire is this. I've installed a 2 way on my Sambar since the wiring was readily available.
If you have the factory keyless remote, I suspect an aftermarket will still work since your commands from the new system will just bypass/work while the factory keyless is not "armed"?
