Production numbers and paint codes

Post by pugwonk »

These picture have been floating around for a while - I've no idea where they came from and I've got no idea how accurate they are. But the paint code one seems to say:
  • 202 (Black): 4889 built
  • 8J9 (Blue Mica Metallic): 2337 built (dark blue)
  • 1B6 (Gray Metallic): 592 built
  • 8M3 (Blue Metallic): 581 built (light sky-blue)
  • 6N9 (Ebony Teal Pearl): 343 built (dark green)
  • ICO (?): 124 built
  • 040 (Super White): 11 built
  • 065 (White Pearl Basecoat): 2 built
  • 475 (?): 1 built
  • 6S6 (Midnight Pine): 1 built
This gives a total of 8881 cars, which isn't quite the same as the 9357 that the production numbers pic has in it, though it's not all that far off!

Something interesting i've collected. A 1997 Body Color Cataglogue. "Century Interior and Exterior color scheme" book.

A picture of the front. Texture is glossy vinyl similar to the booklets that hold owners manual.
