Hello Century Friends!

Post by supermaneuverability »

Hello all. I'm new here but I lurked on the Facebook group for a while. I look forward to sharing information for these rare & complex cars! :D

A little about the car:

1999
160,000km
floor shift
dual emv/rear vhs
door mirrors
blue interior and exterior
rear table

I've owned it for about 2 years now.
It has needed very little maintenance. I've had BP Toyota remove all the paint blemishes and body dents, and I've had the local Toyota dealer fix the swaybar links, replace the alternator, and replace leaking valvecover gaskets, but otherwise it has been extremely reliable, and a joy to drive, especially in the snow.

A little about me:
I'm living in northern Japan, but soon will move to South Carolina. I'm a mechanic by trade. I also love motorcycles- I drive a Honda MC22 CBR250RR and a Zero DSR.

Hi! Good grief... you've certainly set the bar high for car pictures!

Are you going to store the car for a while in Japan and bring it home with you?

Hi Chris! yes. my next door neighbor graciously offered to store it in his garage and maintain it for a year. I'm so thankful!

Between jan & feb, I will drive it cross country and try to visit the new century factory. then, i'll drive it back north and leave it at his house. one last roadtrip!!
